This very sunny morning, about 7:10am, after my hour long seminary, I went on a trip to Starbucks. I had just ordered my favorite drink (Carmel Apple Spice) and Starbucks' lovely instant Oatmeal. As I sat in the drive-thru, enjoying the sun beaming through the car windows, I decided that I was going to pass on my lovely feeling and make someone else's day! When I got to the pay window, I asked to pay for the order of the car behind me as well as with my breakfast. The lady at the window was so pleased with this act of kindness and seemed excited to pass on the news to the truck behind me! As I exited the drive-thru; I watched in the rear-view mirror, the lady whom I had paid, and she was talking to the two people in the truck while pointing to my car. Satisfied I drove away.
Then I wondered to myself, what if they were so pleased that they paid for the car behind them! What if I just started a line of cars making each others day a little bit happier! If not, I can at least be satisfied with the fact of making two people smile on a lovely Thursday morning. I think I'm going to continue these anonymous acts of kindness... I'll post about them later. (:
