So It Has Come To This...

*drum roll please*

I am no longer a size 0-long in jeans!

Well. That or I've washed my jeans too many times and they've shrunk a bit.
Either way, I need new jeans. Gash I'm so fat. ;) --Jokes. I don't put myself down like that. Actually, I see this as a good opportunity to eat more... So.... Glass half full perspective? I'm joking again. I don't want to ever be fat. In fact, I've been all daydreamy lately and planning my married life distant futureness... And me and my husband will make all sorts of delicious food, but at the same time we're going to be like marathon runners so it won't be a big deal.

ALLSSOOOOO!!! My sissy is arriving home tomorrow morning! Maybz we can go jean shopping?! Or just eat loads of ice cream and give love-handles to my love-handles!? Either way; i've missed her. And it's going to be party-central at my house. :)

Unconventional Scripture Study

I'm a night owl. I have been since I was little. This doesn't mean I don't like sleep, because I love it... I just always find things I can be doing at bedtime... Scripture study for example. But sometimes I find i'm not as awake as I think, and put in embarrassing side notes or draw little pictures by a verse, so that by the time I have to share my scriptures with somebody...I feel slightly embarrassed... Here are a few examples:

...I can't even use the 'P' word...

This would be my scripture I use to direct people I decline offers to. If someone ever proposes to me and I don't like them...I will point them towards this verse.

I remember with this one, I just felt like the Spirit was talking to me through the scriptures to get up and find a scrumptious midnight snack. (:

I just.... Yeah.

That verse describes Utah. Not kidding. Read it.

I'm so embarrassed that  took the time to highlight this...

Oh, this one is fun! "I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse" red horse=reindeer (awky, I spelled it wrong in my scriptures) Then later it reads "Ho, ho,"
Santa Clause is real.

This one was dedicated to my friend who overused the word "fool" while talking to people.

I fought back the urge to write beside it "aren't we all?" ...Obviously I'm getting better at refraining!

A comparison of turning from righteousness like a dog to his vomit. I'm pretty sure I wrote, "...But my dog eats his vomit..." on the side. ...Didn't seem like a good comparison to me.

"...forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Of course I wouldn't see it as a good thing that Christ has done for us, I just see it as a guilt trip! Goodness.

...Yes.

And this is why I am always so reluctant to share my scriptures, and scared I'll someday lose them to the wrong hands. Don't be completely fooled, I am actually pretty diligent about my scripture study and come to notes that are inspiring and wonderful... But sometimes, I guess I just can't do it so well.

The end. :)

Mother Hubbard is in Denial/LAURELS CONF.

She went to the cupboard, to fetch her poor dog a bone.... We all know the rhyme. But after devoting nearly an hour to my lonesome dog... brushing him, walking him, feeding him (even though he's obese) he doesn't even give me the time for ONE photo. Nope. All cause of that stupid bone.

AT LEAST MOTHER HUBBARD GOT QUALITY TIME WITH HER DOG!

So.
Yes.
There's that.
And I went to Laurels Conference this weekend... Which involved lots of glitter in the hair, face, undies -quite frankly it was everywhere-  ...LOTS of food and food and food and food and army crawling on the floor to sneak more food so the leaders wouldn't see....
10:30pm snacks.
11:30pm snacks.
Midnight snacks.
1:00am snacks.
1:07am snacks.
2:00am snacks.
And brushing of the teeth 3 times.
Eating at least 2 helpings at every meal, and snacking 3 times in between each.
Screaming. Laughing. Giggling. Cuddling. Koomcha-ing. Footie-pajama-dancing. 4 hours of sleeping. Hello-I'm-A-Zumba-Failure.
Oh yeah, and it was pretty spiritual and wonderful too. (:
Can't wait for next year!
That's it.

MoProm {2012}

Sunday a week ago, my best friend and I were in church and were asked if we were going to Mormon Prom on Saturday. We responded with a "ha-ha yeah good one".

*5 seconds later*

Lexie got creatively asked.

I responded, "Well...I'M not going to mormon prom!"

The following morning with 15 minutes left of seminary, a balloon was sent in to me saying "Will you go to Mormon Prom with me?" I didn't realize that was for me, cause I mean, I already had a previous engagement with my couch and ice cream... But it was...for me. I popped the balloon, and out fell pieces of index cards with letters on each one for me to unscramble.

"S-E-T-H-E-R-S   F-A-R-R-!"

Lex looked at me with a grin and I said, "Well.... Looks like I'm going"

So I obviously had to be creative to respond to him. Creative, yes. My idea, no. (Thank you Pinterest):

NOW the stressing begins.
5 days till prom and I've got nothin'!
My room liked this by the end of the week:
I know. Gross.
So anyway.
I found a dress, and I was able to make it modest. I also bought like 4 pairs of shoes in this process and the ONE pair I loved with the dress, ended up having a warning on the box that said how in the state of california the chemicals used in the shoe were known to cause cancer, birth defects and other stupid stuff like that. So. I got new shoes. Which ended up giving hundreds of snags in the dress, but oh well!

I love yellow!

"diamonds are a girls best friend!"

the cancerous shoes

Saturday. Day of Prom.
I remember it well, although it's all a blur. (...no really, most of them were blurry or out of focus)

Because a picture is worth a thousand words, I'll just get to it already.
SO. WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, Prom:

Thanks Maddy for doing my hair!

Best friend picture with Olivia

(I would just like to point out how unplanned our dress colors are, and how great they look together. I know. bomb.)

this would have been SUCH a good picture were it not blurry.

Oh my goodness, Sam, you are TOO cute in this one!  Love love love!!

Gahhhh so much cute. Okay. (:

You can't see it, but the rain was terrible.

To quote a friend, "sleeping beauty, belle & cinderella (: "

It was cute because we've all been friends since before the landmark of double digits, and the boys (who are best friends) wanted to ask the girls (who are best friends) so that we could all have lots of fun with our besties.  Aw!

making our pizza to look like justin's face!

I do enjoy this one immensely.

oh heck yeah

Photo cred for the perfect photo :)

THE END. . .

ha.
just kidding.
i wouldn't forget the best one:

So much class. (:
