Take a Seat -- Make a Friend?

I'm just in this video mood... So... Watch this one. It's great. And it gets better towards the end. Hope it makes you smile!

ALSO, today has been an exceptional day! Today I won my FIRST contest/give-away, and this bad boy is going to be mine....! (It's a journal where you write one line a day every day for 5 years in a row. And the one line can be about ANYTHING!) I decided I'm going to save this for when I get married, and i'll so it with my hubby for the first 5 years of marriage! ...Even if he doesn't do it every day!

And we had a Priest/Laurel etiquette dinner tonight, and it was tons of fun with my friends! (Probably more fun because I didn't get to see any of them last week!)

Goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!

The M's Game

When you look forward to something for a long time, it's easy to imagine the event and how it will pan out... But the thing you never fantasize about, is how time is merciless and won't slow down even for a day as anticipated as this one ...before you know it, the day is gone. That's how last night was; it came and went, leaving nothing but a memory that will indubitably fade in days to come.

So to help preserve the memory, here's what happened.

A little over a year ago I went to a Mariners game for my 16th birthday, (see here) and since then I've been dying to go back! My experience this time was altogether different but downright amazing. When we first walked into the stadium, I felt like I had entered a panoramic photograph. Seriously, MLB on tv is great, but there's NOTHING like going to a baseball game. I brought my friend, Coleman, we took the Subaru (come on, we would have frozen to death in the stang), the air was chilly {snuggling under blankets was needed to avoid hypothermia}, we actually had to walk around to find food, the sun went down faster, and our seats were so close to the game you could practically smell their sweat! It was wonderful! And with a view like mine, I was seriously thanking God for baseball pants. ;) This time I was privileged to get a foam finger (completing one of my wishes from last years game) and I guess the camera is a fan of those foam fingers because it helped us catch the attention of the "FanCam" THREE times, so we danced around like idiots on television. (Mother would be proud!) Mariners beat the Angels 6-1 which means I've never been to a game where the Mariners lost. (knock-on-wood) Booya.

(Dustin Ackley is my favvvveeeee)
  ...First time eating hot peanuts...

Oh yes, did I mention how we were probably on television a lot? Well, I found a video on the official Mariners website and I spotted ...us! Coleman doesn't always get to be on tv, but when he does, he's being slapped around by my foam finger! Timing? Perfffffffect.

(and a screen shot incase the video is being stupid)

Well. Until next year! (:

Lazy Summer Dayz

C.O.W.
EFY... I can't even begin to do a post on how wonderful it was. From the very first day everybody in my company was best friends and essentially had everyones names down. "C.O.W.'s" (crush-of-the-week) are definitely a bigger deal when you're 14-15 and can't date anyone.
But everyone in my company just wanted to be great friends! The boys were chivalrous gentlemen and the girls didn't mind being complete crazies while at the same time being so sweet and understanding... (which is saying something because girls generally bug the crap outta me!) I drew closer to my Savior --even without the efy medley, although it would have greatly helped me to feel the Spirit-- and I learned some cool new ways to look at things we do in the church. I got less than 24 hours of sleep throughout the whole week when I probably should have had at least 50 hours... Needless to say, I was exhausted and have become a napping maniac! I didn't wake up until lunch time today! ...And yesterday. ...And the day before (but I had only woken up because I set my alarm so that I wouldn't sleep through 1pm church!)

Today I participated in a "Star Wars" marathon!! Which was fun! I know, call me geeky, but the newer movies are awesome! And the grownup Anakin, holy cow, so much attractiveness going on.  Ahem, anyway.... Although I am checking off some things on my Summer to do list, I really should be a bit more productive... Like read a good book for example.

Someday I really will fulfill my perfect Summer though. I really want to someday spend at least part of my Summer in Paris. Ride my old fashioned bicycle through town, buy some awesome loaves of baguettes -- just because I can, take walks down the streets as the sun goes down and the city lights turn on, listen to beautiful local music, obviously see all of the touristy sights, be able to see the eiffel tower/the city of love from my window, cafés, meet an attractive somebody and, and and--

--my dreams carry me away though. I just need to be happy with where I am and who I'm with. (:
So that's all for now I suppose.  OH JUST KIDDING:
That's from the movie "We Bought A Zoo" ...And I feel like i've been living by this quote lately. It makes the ride of life a little bit more worthwhile! (: Okay. I'm done now.

Mother Hubbard is in Denial/LAURELS CONF.

She went to the cupboard, to fetch her poor dog a bone.... We all know the rhyme. But after devoting nearly an hour to my lonesome dog... brushing him, walking him, feeding him (even though he's obese) he doesn't even give me the time for ONE photo. Nope. All cause of that stupid bone.

AT LEAST MOTHER HUBBARD GOT QUALITY TIME WITH HER DOG!

So.
Yes.
There's that.
And I went to Laurels Conference this weekend... Which involved lots of glitter in the hair, face, undies -quite frankly it was everywhere-  ...LOTS of food and food and food and food and army crawling on the floor to sneak more food so the leaders wouldn't see....
10:30pm snacks.
11:30pm snacks.
Midnight snacks.
1:00am snacks.
1:07am snacks.
2:00am snacks.
And brushing of the teeth 3 times.
Eating at least 2 helpings at every meal, and snacking 3 times in between each.
Screaming. Laughing. Giggling. Cuddling. Koomcha-ing. Footie-pajama-dancing. 4 hours of sleeping. Hello-I'm-A-Zumba-Failure.
Oh yeah, and it was pretty spiritual and wonderful too. (:
Can't wait for next year!
That's it.
:)
